Gudiya is a Raleigh based visual designer, experimental musician, and DJ. Gudiya production process strives to find beauty in happy accidents, discovering pleasantries in unsuspecting locations. For her live performances, she pays equal attention to both audio and visual elements of the set, utilizing found footage, personal recordings, and glittery gifs to enhance the auditory experience. Gudiya's art aims to disrupt the anticipated and assumed experiences of Indian Americans, adding a lighthearted twist to the often sad diaspora narrative. Through her consultation work with both youth and adults, she breaks down colonial and patriarchal barriers to music and art, and aids people in accessing their inherent talents.
